Google is late updating.. changes are in the pipeline !

If you are noticing unusual website traffic this month, or puzzled as to why recent changes made to your website have not shown up in the search, it is probably down to the changes that are taking place at Google.

Usually the Google update is as predictable as the mail man ! Google will normally search out new website content towards the beginning of the month and then refresh its search with the new content at the end of the month / very start of the following month. This month, strange things are happening to the rankings of many website's and the Google search has not yet updated.

The unusual behaviour with Google is probably down to changes being made to the Google Algorithm. The techies at Google are constantly updating Google to try and make the search more user friendly, i.e. cutting out spam. If your site is in some way spamming Google, you could find that it disappears from the listings when the update finally arrives.

The Google update is rumoured to start around the 15th April. I will keep you posted as and when Google finally performs its update and will inform you when to check your new listing. Details of how to check your listing will be included in the next 4everweb.com news letter.
